In the 1920's Ruth Hunt perfected the art of making Kentucky Pulled Cream Candy. It became her most popular confection. Developing a full menu of confections she began to cover these favorites with a thin layer of bitter sweet chocolate. The extra rich and sweet Cream Candy was a perfect partner to the rich dark chocolate. The "Chocolate Covered", as it is called, remains a regional favorite. *** By the way, we proudly recall that in 1968 Lyndon Johnson's White House ordered 60 pounds of Ruth Hunt's Chocolate Covered to be given as Holiday Gifts!
