Old Fashion Fruit and Nut Cake, 2.25 lb.

My family has deep roots in Barbourville, Kentucky going back to the 1700's. Mom used to make a fruit cake each year, soak it in bourbon and let it sit in the attic for months to age. She'd take it out at Christmas and we'd enjoy through the holidays. This is the first fruit cake that is really close to the one mom made. It's moist like her cake was and so full of fruit. The family has been in California since the 40's but still feel like Kentuckians. We will be buying more to share with my grandchildren to share the type of fruit cake their great-grandmother used to make. Thank you.
