The Blue Monday Bar has been produced since the early 1930's. Ruth Hunt's most popular creation features a pulled cream candy center covered with a bittersweet dark chocolate that compliments the sweet melt-in-your-mouth candy. The Original Blue Monday remains the most popular of the Blue Monday varieties.

I absolutely love love love this candy bar. I ate them daily when I lived in Mt. Sterling. Unfortunately I moved away from there and i have trouble finding them here.

Better than York

These are SO much better than York patties! The filling is light and doesn't taste like toothpaste. The chocolate compliments and blends with the filling. 10/10 will definitely buy again. Goodbye, York. Hello, Blue Monday.

I was born in Winchester. I also grew up in the same place. I graduated from Clark County High School in 1963. Might I add nothing better than the BEST. Blue Monday and Ale 8 for lunch. This candy is the best. On our dates on Sunday (after church) watch out Mt Sterling, here we come for some Blue Mondays. Only enough to last for a week.

This is the BEST candy I've ever had. I tried one in Lexington once while visiting years ago and I've been hooked ever since. Lately I've been craving it and couldn't find it locally so I ordered a case and I cannot wait until they get here.

I tried this chocolate and decided to take some to my residents at the nursing home. I gave each a little piece and watched their eyes light up and say "bows that's some good chocolate" they are so right

Every since I put one in my mouth they are my absolute favorite but every time I get them they are not a whole candy bar they are broken this last box I ordered the whole box was broken into pieces I was very upset but I ate them with a spoon they were still delicious just broken into pieces the mail people that pick them up and deliver them need to be more careful with our products!!!

We use to live in the city that these were made they were my favorite candy as a child when I moved away my mother use to bring me cases for my birthday they have recently started selling them at the local food line where I live they are the best gourmet candy whatever place in your mouth they are absolutely amazing

I consider myself a connoisseur of fine candy, but it wasn't until my wife received a Blue Monday for her kindness to a friend. My wife decided I should have it and hence the divine intervention and my world turned upside down. I had never heard of Ruth Hunt Candies or Blue Mondays but immediately realized on the first bite that I was now enjoying the best candy I had ever had. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the ingredients and the smooth texture of the bar. Soon after finishing the candy, I hit the website to see their offering and will be ordering soon.

Kentucky's sweetest secret

I understand why they're known as Kentucky's best kept secret, I never knew about these bars until I stumbled upon them at a historic candy store in Harpers Ferry, WV. It was truly love at first bite, there is no other candy bar that compares to this, the rich quality and taste simply unforgettable. I bought a box and will be sharing a couple bars with friends so they too can discover the wonderful experience Blue Monday bars have to offer.

My first Blue Monday - candy bar

I had my first blue Mandy candy bar in 1960, as they were sold in a little candy store in my grade school in Moorefield Kentucky. I was privileged to monitor the candy store during recess 1 to 2 times weekly. This is a satisfying bit of goodness that you can't find anywhere else. These as well as the cream candy will always have a special place in my memory.

I had my first Blue Monday over 50 years ago. My dad's aunt worked at the old candy store. I loved them then, and now. Creamy inside covered by scrumptious dark chocolate! Fantastic!
